Become a library member

You can join the library if you live, work or study in Hertfordshire. It is free.

When you join online, you will get a temporary borrower ID.

Then, you will need to visit any Hertfordshire library to collect your card before your registration expires in 6 weeks. We will need to see something official with your current name and address, like a bank statement, driving/TV licence or utility bill.

You can only join online if you are over 18.

If you are under 18 you will need to visit a library to join. Children under 16 also need an adult who will agree to be responsible for the items borrowed and any charges. A parent or guardian is best.
