Join us for our themed walking group for a gentle stroll around the local area.

This month’s theme is Photography.

Bring along your camera and let’s see what interesting photos we can take.

You can join in with the theme as much or as little as you want or just come along for a walk and a chat.

All walks start and finish at the library.

Please bring your own craft materials. Basic materials, such as paper, pencils and pens, can be provided if you would like to come along but don’t have a craft in mind.  

We will have free demonstrations of the CreatorSpace equipment (sewing machine, embroidery machine and digital cutter) at occasional meetings.

Step into the world of childhood cinema nostalgia by joining the BFI Screencraft team to learn about the BFI National Archive’s paper collections. This talk will explore the written and visual arts collections preserved by the Screencraft Department, revealing stories, creativity, and the history behind some of the most beloved childhood films from the 1960s through to the 1990s. The BFI is the UK's lead organisation for film and moving image, and the National Archive looks after one of the largest and most important collections of film and television in the world. This talk will be delivered by Kay Eldridge, BFI Screencraft Assistant curator.  

Recommended for everyone with an interest in beloved children’s films, minimum age - 14.

The Group meets on the third Friday of each month, from 2.00pm-3.00pm.
