Described as the ‘master of the wartime spy thriller’, Clements' latest book A Cold Wind from Moscow is the eighth to feature Cambridge professor Tom Wilde and set in a bleak post war England in 1947. The award-winning author also has a new book out in August, Evil in High Places – the second to feature murder cop Sebastian Wolff (Munich Wolf). Set in 1930’s Germany it offers a fascinating comparison to the Wilde series.
Following a career in journalism, Clements took up writing full time following a move to Norfolk in 2007. Rory’s father, grandfather and great-grandfather have all served in the military and their courage and derring-do inspired his own love of reading and writing thrillers. His first series features John Shakespeare, a spy in Elizabethan England.
Clements has won prizes from the Crime Writers' Association for Revenger in 2010 and Nucleus in 2018 won the coveted Historical Dagger.
