The 1959/60 season was The Dawn of the Golden Age at Vicarage Road. It saw Watford wear golden coloured shirts for the first time, and adopt "The Hornets" as a nickname. It saw Watford win their first promotion since joining the Football League. Led by Cliff Holton, the team captured the local imagination as never before. Watford supporters have enjoyed many further successes, but 1959/60 was a turning point. The Dawn of the Golden Age celebrates that first golden season and tells the story of how it happened.
