A struggling couple, Sebastian and Weronika, decide to save their marriage. An almost 200-year-old country house in Croatia is to be an ideal setting for romantic confessions and close-ups. Delighted with their holiday property, they do not notice that the village seems completely abandoned. The next day, Sebastian, returning from shopping, meets a teenage girl and offers to give her a ride. A fellow passenger tells him the story of the cursed village, warning him not to approach the ruins. Sebastian refuses to believe in local legends, but soon he begins to feel uneasy.
