This collection from a well-known performance poet is about death, human frailty and other classic conversation stoppers. The poems were written after the deaths of Normal's father and brother, and also coincided with his final year working in TV. In the context of a world population of over 7 billion, where over 56 million people now die every year, Normal focuses on the personal and intimate details of relationships. The poems examine the necessity of change, and the joys and regrets that ensue. He's looking for answers, but doesn't profess to find any.
